Intra-assay Precision (Precision within an assay) Three samples of known concentration were tested twenty times on one plate to assess intra-assay precision.
Inter-assay Precision (Precision between assays) Three samples of known concentration were tested six times on one plate to assess intra-assay precision.
Spike Recovery
The spike recovery was evaluated by spiking 3 levels of human MMP-13 into health human serum sample. The un-spiked serum was used as blank in this experiment.
The recovery ranged from 92% to 117% with an overall mean recovery of 106%.

---|---|---|---|---|
Serum | 30 | 5.75-44.20 | 100 | 21.14 |
Serum/Plasma – Thirty samples from apparently healthy volunteers were evaluated for the presence of MMP-13 in this assay. No medical histories were available for the donors.
Product Data Sheet
Background: MMP-13
MMP13 (matrix metallopeptidase 13) participates in tissue remodeling, inflammation, cytokine secretion and activation. It also plays an important role in acute lung injury, viral infections and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease. Mutation in MMP13 results in spondyloepimetaphyseal dysplasia, missouri type (SEMDMO).
