Spike Recovery
The spike recovery was evaluated by spiking 3 levels of Human CX3CL1/Fractalking into health human serum sample. The un-spiked serum was used as blank in this experiment.
The recovery ranged from 79% to 128% with an overall mean recovery of 114%.

Serum/Plasma – Thirty samples from apparently healthy volunteers were evaluated for the presence of CX3CL1/Fractalking in this assay. No medical histories were available for the donors.

Background: CX3CL1/Fractalking
Fractalkine (CX3CL1) is the only member of the CX3C chemokine, composed of 373 amino acids, and exists in membrane-bound and secretory forms. The membrane-bound type is composed of chemotaxis domain, mucin-like stem-like structure, transmembrane domain and intracellular domain, which can be induced and expressed by inflammatory factors. The secretory form is produced by proteolysis and has chemolotaxis. It is expressed in mammalian brain, lung, heart and other organs, and neurons and glial cells can secrete this protein.
