Target information
Porcine epidemic diarrhoeal virus (PEDV) belongs to the Coronavirus family and is an important pathogen causing diarrhea and high mortality in piglets. The PEDV spike protein (Spike) is located on the surface of the virus and consists of the S1 and S2 subunits, of which the S1 subunit is responsible for binding to host cell receptors and is a key structure for viral invasion of host cells.
S1 protein contains multiple immune dominant epitopes that can induce the production of neutralizing antibodies and are important targets for PEDV immune response.
Overview of antibody
This antibody is used in paired sandwich Elisa and is reactive to both PEDV GI. and GII. strains. The PEDV recombinant S1 protein was recognized in Western blot experiments.
