Target information
Porcine epidemic diarrhoeal virus (PEDV) belongs to the Coronavirus family and is an important pathogen causing diarrhea and high mortality in piglets.
PEDV nucleocapsid protein (N protein) is one of the main structural proteins of viruses and is involved in the regulation of viral RNA packaging and replication. In infected cells, N protein expression is high and highly conserved, which is an important target for PEDV infection detection.
Overview of antibody
This antibody is used in paired sandwich Elisa and is reactive to both PEDV GI. and GII. strains. The PEDV recombinant N protein was recognized in Western blot experiments.
